What you get

  • Blog posts at 1,000, 1,500 or 2,000 words
  • Long-form guides and white-paper-style articles, 2,500+ words
  • An outline before the draft
  • A source list for every factual claim
  • A headline plus three alternatives

Where the facts come from

Every statistic, date and claim in a post gets a source. You get the list. If we can't source something, we cut it or flag it, and we don't leave it in and hope.

Technical topics get a reviewer on your side. Someone who knows the subject reads the draft before it's final. That's how it stays right and still readable.

From topic to published

How one 1,500-word post gets made. It takes 3 to 5 business days from start to handoff.

Typical post, 1,500 words

  1. Day 1

    Topic

We agree the angle, the reader and the one thing the piece has to say.

  2. Day 1–2

    Outline

An outline lands in your inbox. Short notes are welcome and don't stop the clock.

  3. Day 2–3

    Draft

The writing. Sources get collected as we go, not at the end.

  4. Day 4

    Edit

A cold read, a fact check and a cut. Drafts usually lose a few paragraphs here.

  5. Day 5

    Handoff

The finished post, a source list and a headline with three alternatives.

Sillplate (fictional inspection software for property managers)

Choosing property inspection software: what to test before you sign

It's 4:40 on a Friday. A tenant moves out Monday, the unit has water stains nobody mentioned, and the move-in photos are somewhere. A phone, a laptop, or a folder called "Final FINAL."

That's the problem inspection software exists to fix. It often does. It also sometimes swaps one mess for another: a tool your crew hates, photos that vanish in a basement with no signal, or pricing that made sense at 30 units and hurts at 300.

This guide is for people choosing, not people being sold to. We make one of these tools, so we'll say plainly where ours isn't the right fit. Demos are built around a best-case unit. Your units are not best-case. Here's what to test instead.

How a project runs

Questions about article writing

Can you handle technical topics?

We can research and write them clearly, with a reviewer on your side to catch what a non-specialist would miss. If a topic is outside what we can do well, we'll say so before you pay a deposit.

Will you cite your sources?

In the source list we hand over, yes. Whether links appear in the published post is your call.

Can you interview our experts?

Yes. Interviews change the scope, so we quote them separately. Send questions, or tell us who we'd be talking to and for how long.

Can the post run under my name?

Yes. Once the invoice is paid, the copy is yours and the byline is your decision.

Do you write in our voice or yours?

Yours. Send a few things you've written or like, and we'll match them. If you have no voice yet, we'll help you find one on the first post.

Can I try one post before the monthly plan?

Yes. A single 1,500-word post is $270. If it works, move to Monthly Content at $980 for four.

Got a topic?

Tell us the topic and the reader. We'll send a price, usually within one business day.
